The normal anatomy of the pulmonary vessels is considered and correlated with the angiographic appearances. Some pathological conditions causing an alteration in the vascular pattern as seen on the plain films are considered and the changes are described. It is concluded that an appreciation of these changes in vascular pattern may indicate to the clinician the presence of local or distant disease.
