The increase of hearing loss in the aged looks like a natural process. The handicap problems caused by this process have not to be accepted as such. A hard of hearing aged may be helped by a hearing aid if he is willing to learn again how to communicate. Just in the learning period professional support has to be given, in the field of handling the hearing aid, training lipreading and learning a number of hearing tactics.
老年人听力损失的增加似乎是一个自然过程。但不能就这样接受这个过程所导致的残障问题。如果听力受损的老年人愿意重新学习如何交流，那么助听器可能会对他们有所帮助。在学习期间，必须在使用助听器、训练唇读以及学习一些听力技巧等方面给予专业支持。
