Primary hyperparathyroidism in pregnancy is uncommon and easily overlooked. It is associated with a complication rate of up to 80 per cent--mainly stillbirths, abortions and neonatal tetany. Surgical treatment during pregnancy offers the best chance for fetal and neonatal survival.

妊娠期原发性甲状旁腺功能亢进并不常见，且容易被忽视。其并发症发生率高达80%，主要为死产、流产和新生儿手足搐搦。妊娠期进行手术治疗为胎儿和新生儿的存活提供了最佳机会。
