It is very important that children with cerebral lesions be presented not only to the pediatrician, but also to the specialist in childhood neurology. An evaluation is quite complicated as children with positive anamneses and early signs of neurological dysfunction are normal in later childhood and vice versa. Infants showing normal initial development may in later childhood exhibit various cerebral disorders. Developmental neurology is perhaps a key to the prognosis of neurological dysfunction in the maturing child.
