Pharmacy technician specialist: a career opportunity.

A training program for pharmacy technician specialists is described. The 200-hour pharmacy technician specialist training program consists of 20 hours of management seminars and conferences and 180 hours of on-the-job training. The program educates inhouse-trained technicians to assume more specialized tasks and supervisory roles.
