Analysis of a 5-year autopsy data on Nigerians aged 31--60 years showed infective, cardiac and neoplastic diseases as major causes of mortality in these age groups. Improvement in public health and socio-economic circumstances, and preservation of cultural dietary habits would prevent a large proportion of deaths and a rise in degenerative diseases.
对31至60岁尼日利亚人的5年尸检数据分析显示，感染性疾病、心脏疾病和肿瘤疾病是这些年龄组的主要死因。改善公共卫生和社会经济状况，以及保持文化饮食习惯，将预防很大一部分死亡和退行性疾病的增加。
