Irradiated specimens of UHMW-PE have been tested by a "Pin-on-disc"-method against a metal pin. Increasing irradiation doses are leading to obviously increasing wear-rates. Irradiation in presence of nitrogen gives no advantage in comparison to normal air as an crosslinking agents, concerning tribological properties.
超高分子量聚乙烯(UHMW-PE)的辐照试样已通过“销盘”法针对金属销进行了测试。辐照剂量增加会导致磨损率明显上升。就摩擦学性能而言,与作为交联剂的普通空气相比,在氮气环境下进行辐照并无优势。
