After inserting an endoprosthesis of the hip sports activities are mandatory to restore and maintain joint function. Rowing is compared with other disciplines as a most suitable sport. It entails all the advantages which are beneficial to patients with a hip endoprosthesis and should be generally adopted as an appropriate rehabilitation measure.
