Abstract

The pulmonary vascular response to breathing low oxygen containing gas mixture was examined before and during Angiotensin II blockade in five open-chested newborn calves. Angiotensin II blockade was achieved by continuous infusion of Sar1-Ile5-Leu8-Angiotensin II (Saralasin), a competitive inhibitor of Angiotensin II. The hypoxic rise in pulmonary vascular resistance after blockade did not differ from that of control. It is concluded that Angiotensin II does not play a significant role in acute hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstriction in the calf.

在五只开胸新生小牛中,研究了血管紧张素II阻断前后对吸入低氧混合气体的肺血管反应。通过持续输注血管紧张素II的竞争性抑制剂Sar1-Ile5-Leu8-血管紧张素II(沙拉新)来实现血管紧张素II的阻断。阻断后低氧引起的肺血管阻力升高与对照组无差异。得出结论:血管紧张素II在小牛急性低氧性肺血管收缩中不起重要作用。
