A pilot trial was conducted with fenthion 20% m/v to determine possible abortifacient or other toxic effects when applied to 4 1/2 month pregnant beef cows. No abortions or other clinical symptoms which could be attributed to the fenthion were observed after two topical applications, at a 3-week interval, of up to 5 times the therapeutic dose.
