Outbreaks of hepatitis have occurred in renal units all over Europe and the U.S.A. and have carried a high mortality. This is an iatrogenic disease, transmitted by blood from carriers of SH virus, uraemic patients often suffering subclinical attacks. The risks to the staff of these units are so high that they should not be asked to undertake this work if outbreaks cannot be controlled.
欧洲和美国各地的肾病治疗单位均发生过肝炎疫情，且死亡率很高。这是一种医源性疾病，由携带SH病毒者的血液传播，尿毒症患者常遭受亚临床发作。这些单位的工作人员面临的风险如此之高，以至于如果疫情无法得到控制，就不应要求他们承担这项工作。
