Chiasmal ependymoma.

A 15-year-old boy with a histologically proven malignant chiasmal ependymoma showed transient improvement following irradiation therapy. A large tumor recurrence responded dramatically to PCV chemotherapy. The diagnosis was unsuspected until biopsy. The rarity of chiasmal ependymoma, in our experience, combined with its dramatic response to low morbidity PCV outpatient chemotherapy prompted this report.
