[Acute injuries to peripheral nerves. 1. Diagnosis and principles for therapy].

A simple scheme for the identification of the most frequent lesions of single peripheral nerves is given. The scheme is based on a few--mostly two--characteristic features of each lesion. The significance of the degree of the nerve lesion for the choice of therapy is stressed.
