Intrabronchial polypoid hamartome. A case report.

A case of intrabronchial hamartoma is reported. These are very rare tumours, generally accepted as being of developmental origin. Signs and symptoms may strikingly suggest bronchogenic carcinoma. Malignant changes in intrabronchial hamartomas have not been proven and treatment is surgical removal, if possible, with preservation of lung tissue distal to the tumour.
