A total of 175 adult patients with congenital heart diseases were investigated, of whom 140 were operated upon and 62 examined late after surgery. As noted, characteristic of adult patients were subjective complains, progressive pulmonary hypertension in defects with the blood shunting from the left to right and, because of this, the emergence of atypical symptoms of the defects. Surgical correction yields quite satisfactory results, but the presence of pulmonary hypertension tends to greatly increase the operative risk.
共对175例成年先天性心脏病患者进行了调查，其中140例接受了手术，62例在术后晚期接受了检查。如前所述，成年患者的特点是主观症状、左向右分流型缺损中进行性肺动脉高压，以及由此出现的缺损非典型症状。手术矫正取得了相当令人满意的结果，但肺动脉高压的存在往往会大大增加手术风险。
