Typhoid osteomyelitis.

A case of typhoid osteomyelitis of the left lower leg is described. The incidence, clinical features and therapy of this bone infection are outlined. This uncommon bone infection was confirmed 30 years after the initial infection with S. typhi. Surgical intervention and administration of chloramphenicol resulted in complete recovery.
