Breeding results of sows reared under conventional conditions could be raised by treating them with 20 mg potassium rhodanide/day 14 days before up to 14 days after farrowig. An increase of the rhodanide level could be demonstrated in the colostrum providing a higher rhodanide supply in piglets of treated sows.
