This study analyzed the location attachment characteristics of graduates of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Medical School to test three hypotheses describing the relationship of these characteristics to the graduates' choice of internship and practice location. Data analyses revealed no significant relationships between graduates' place of birth and academic performance and their decisions to intern and/or practice in Wisconsin.
