[Is surgical-tocolytic prevention and therapy of cervical insufficiency justified without prenatal diagnostic care?].

We report on our results of the combined operative-tocolytical prophylaxis and therapy of cervical insufficiency from the department for gynecology and obstetrics of our hospital to decrease the mortality of newborn. The possibility of such treatment without optimal antenatal apparatus-control will be discussed.
