[Biological and pharmacological properties of orthosilicic acid and its derivatives and their effect on the body].

Biologically active silicones and high-molecular silicones are subject to increasing interest and application in medicine, pharmacy and veterinary. The work gives a summary of current literature on the simplest, basic, biologically active silicones--orthosilicic acid and its derivatives. Several derivatives that have been worked out in Poland are also discussed and the authors presents an initial evaluation of their biological action.
