Abstract
Methods of treating stiffness in proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joints in flexion and dorsal instability of the PIP joint are presented. The author points out that an exact knowledge of the volar aspect of the PIP joint is essential to diagnosing these problems and treating them effectively.
