Abstract
Because glaucoma is usually asymptomatic until it is far advanced, screening of susceptible individuals should be done routinely by every physician. The symptoms, signs, clinical course, and prognosis vary according to the type of glaucoma. Therefore, appropriate classification is essential to determine specific medical or surgical therapy.
