[Post-traumatic acute pancreatitis].

In connection with 7 observations of acute traumatic pancreatitis the authors review the data published in the specialized literature as well as their personal experience. A series of aspects are discussed, such as the frequency, the mechanisms involved in the determination of the phenomena, clinical and diagnostic aspects, as well as the therapeutic attitude. The importance of functions is stressed, combined with peritoneal flooding, and dosage of amylases in the fluid obtained in view of making an early diagnosis, and for an efficient therapy, in most of the cases of the surgical type.
