Abstract
Programmed stimulation, as a diagnostic and therapeutic modality in arrhythmia evaluation, suffers from lack of standardization. If the sensitivity, specificity, and predictive value of this procedure are to be considered seriously, then an evaluation of various stimulation protocols is warranted. Study variables are numerous and influence the outcome of the studies.
