Abstract

The Symbios 7008 pacemaker is capable of treating both bradycardias and tachycardias. In this report, we summarize operation of the pacemaker and the initial experience in 21 patients who have received implants. All patients have supraventricular tachyarrhythmias that have been terminated successfully with automatic atrial burst pacing (19 patients) or AV sequential pacing. More than half of the patients also have bradyarrhythmias requiring pacing and thus benefit from both functions of the device. Experience to date has been favorable.

Symbios 7008起搏器能够治疗心动过缓和心动过速。在本报告中,我们总结了该起搏器的操作情况以及21例接受植入患者的初步经验。所有患者均有室上性快速心律失常,已通过自动心房猝发起搏(19例患者)或房室顺序起搏成功终止。超过半数的患者还患有需要起搏治疗的缓慢性心律失常,因此受益于该设备的两种功能。迄今为止的经验是令人满意的。
