HB 699, a hypoglycemic and insulin stimulating agent, which does not belong to the sulphonylurea group, was administered per os to the dog at the dose of 15 mg/kg, daily for 14 days. This agent induced an increase in fasting plasma levels of pancreatic polypeptide, without modifying blood glucose, insulin, glucagon and somatostatin levels.
