Abstract
Recommendations for a uniform standard for all labeling of large volume parenterals are presented. Operational definitions are given, and current FDA and compendial requirements for labels of large volume parenterals are reviewed. Specific recommendations for the USP, the FDA, manufacturers and hospitals are made.
