Fibrous histiocytoma of the nasal cavity.

The case of a 17-year-old female patient with a polypoid tumor in the right nasal fossa, diagnosed as fibrous histiocytoma and treated by polypectomy and maxillectomy, is reported. It represents a very unusual variety of nasal neoplasm, generally of unpredictable course. The clinical and morphological characteristics of seven previously published additional cases are also reviewed.
