Abstract
Changes in corneal epithelium in macular dystrophy are secondary. Those in lattice dystrophy are primary, the epithelial cells showing the characteristics of cancer cells as well as hypertrophy of the lysosomal system and vacuolisation with autolysis. After infection by herpes virus the epithelial cells show an increase in number and volume of the lysosomes, which liberate enzymes with cytolytic effects.

黄斑营养不良中角膜上皮的变化是继发性的。格子状营养不良中的变化是原发性的，上皮细胞表现出癌细胞的特征以及溶酶体系统肥大和自溶空泡化。疱疹病毒感染后，上皮细胞的溶酶体数量和体积增加，释放出具有细胞溶解作用的酶。
