Differential diagnosis and treatment of bovine abdominal distention and the acute bovine abdomen.

Physical diagnostic techniques as well as ancillary aids used to differentiate the various causes of bovine abdominal distention will be discussed. Both chronic and acute disorders are included. Therapy will be suggested or outlined for each, but the emphasis here will be on diagnosis. Several acute abdominal disorders which may or may not cause abdominal distention will also be discussed.
