[Present status and problems in the surgery of lung cancer].

Recently, a combined modality of surgical procedures appears to be indicated in the treatment for the lung cancer. The present status and problems in the surgery for the lung cancer is reviewed in terms of (1) surgical procedures, (2) indication of surgery in consideration of histological types, (3) laser therapy, (4) indication of surgery for aged patients, and (5) adjuvant therapies for surgery.
