Two pieces of legislation proposed by the Carter Administration may result in dire consequences for hospital philanthropy, experts fear. In an effort to alert health care executives as to how these laws and the possible demise of charitable giving could harm their institutions--and the future of this country's health care in general--the National Association for Hospital Development recently held a governmental affairs conference in Washington, DC. The highlights of that meeting are presented herein.
