Five groups start community cardiac rehabilitation program.

Five local organizations jointly developed a cardiac rehabilitation program for the community of Cedar Rapids, IA. The program, which is designed as a vehicle to improve the quality of life for persons with heart disease and to retard the further development of coronary artery disease, includes a preliminary patient examination, a planned exercise regimen, and an educational component, covering various aspects of heart care.
