The technique of superovulation and embryo transfer not only has the potential to increase the reproductive rate of the female but because the number, genotype, age of embryo, site of transfer and other factors can be controlled, also has the potential in a broad research context. The current efficiency of the total procedure involved, including superovulation, embryo recovery, embryo storage and embryo transfer is reviewed. Some of the main experimental uses that embryo transfer has already or may, in the future, be put to, are also reviewed.
超排卵和胚胎移植技术不仅有可能提高雌性动物的繁殖率,而且由于胚胎的数量、基因型、年龄、移植部位及其他因素均可得到控制,因此在广泛的研究领域也具有潜力。本文综述了包括超排卵、胚胎回收、胚胎保存及胚胎移植在内的整个过程目前的效率。同时也综述了胚胎移植已经或未来可能的一些主要实验用途。
