A model of an udder health control programme is presented in three papers. The first paper was concerned with the objectives of the programme, the materials required and the procedures at the introductory phase of the programme. This second paper is concerned with the procedures used during the control phase of the programme. Activities, fields of attention and advice given during the visits to farms are part of these procedures. They are derived from a five-point schedule of udder health control on which the model is based.
