[Computer tomographic diagnosis of spinal injuries].

The examination of patients with spinal trauma by computed tomography offers a direct view into the spinal canal. A stenosis of the spinal canal by fragments of a fracture or haematoma is recognized easily; myelography has become redundant. For the injured patient computed tomography is connected with only a minimal risk.
