Abstract
The effect of nifedipine on exercise left ventricular function and coronary haemodynamics was studied in a group of patients with coronary artery disease. Nifedipine, unlike nitroglycerin, appears to act as a primary coronary vasodilator and was able to reverse exercise induced changes in ventricular function.
