[Quality control in x-ray diagnosis by using a universally applicable phantom].

A universally applicable phantom consisting of a test plate and test filter is described; with these it is possible to check the most important criteria concerning the quality of diagnostic radiographic equipment as recommended by the WHO. The universal plate can be used for checking diagnostic apparatus and screening and tomographic installations. The effort and cost of using this is minimal. Test films obtained with the phantom document various measurements; these are immediately available for visual evaluation by the investigator and the operator of the radiographic installation.
