A small bony spur on the infero-internal surface of the femoral neck was observed in radiographic images of two adult subjects in whom clinical signs of hip disorders were absent. This is though to be a variant of the normal not previously described; the spur probably results from ossification of the pectineofoveal capsular fold at the level of its femoral insertion.
