Abstract
Effect of the insecticide Sevin (50% w/v) was examined on survival, growth and nitrogen fixation of two filamentous blue-green algae, Anabaena sp. and Westiellopsis prolifica. Lower concentration of the insecticide (10 micrograms/ml) increased survival, growth and nitrogen fixation while higher concentrations showed an inhibitory effect.

研究了杀虫剂西维因（50%重量/体积）对两种丝状蓝藻——鱼腥藻属和多产韦氏藻的存活、生长及固氮作用的影响。较低浓度的杀虫剂（10微克/毫升）可提高其存活率、促进生长及固氮，而较高浓度则显示出抑制作用。
