Abstract
In vitro (perifusion of rat pituitaries) the 5 alpha-androstane-3 beta, 17 beta diol (3 beta diol) exerts inhibitory effects on Gn-RH stimulated LH secretion. The 3 beta diol is more potent at high dose (1 micrograms/ml) than low dose (100 ng/ml) and in the male rat than in the female rat.

在体外实验（大鼠垂体的灌流）中，5α-雄甾烷-3β,17β-二醇（3β-二醇）对促性腺激素释放激素（Gn-RH）刺激的促黄体生成素（LH）分泌具有抑制作用。高剂量（1微克/毫升）时3β-二醇的作用比低剂量（100纳克/毫升）时更强，且在雄性大鼠中的作用比在雌性大鼠中更强。
