A study of the frequencies of fluorescent chromosome polymorphism within 2 villages of the Samarkand region is presented. The polymorphism patterns for chromosomes 3, 13, 14, 15, 21 and 22 were scores from 45 (23 female and 22 male) individuals with normal karyotype, which were not relatives. There was no significant differences between the frequencies per chromosome for the two sexes, and the data for chromosomes 3, 13, 14 and 22 fitted a Hardy-Weinberg distribution.
