The authors have surgically explored the brachial artery in the course of operation for reduction and fixation of a supra-condylar fracture in a child. the artery appeared to be in spasm in an arteriography performed during operation, the artery being narrow but not obliterated. Arteriotomy, however, showed a lesion of the intima with blood clots. The value of arteriography is discussed.
