Abstract

The H+-ATPase complex from pea chloroplasts was isolated and partially purified. The complex incorporated into the phospholipid membrane can catalyze the 32Pi-ATP exchange reaction. The complex contains eight types of the subunits, five of which belong to the catalytic and three--to the hydrophobic moieties. The molecular weights of the subunits were determined.
