Abstract
Vitreous seeding by a peripapillary retinal astrocytic hamartoma in a patient with tuberous sclerosis was supported by vitreous biopsy and the use of millipore filter and a modified Papanicolaou staining technique. Vitreous seeding may be associated with vitreous inflammation and hemorrhage.
