[Hypothesis on the basic immune disorders, the originating cause and the development of glomerulonephritis].

After a detailed survey on the latest achievements in the immunology of glomerulonephritis, the most important results from the author's studies in that field are presented. A new working hypothesis is proposed, on the base of the results and the literature data, for the origination and development of glomerulonephritis.
