Non-operative removal of retained stones in the common bile duct.

A method of removal of retained common bile duct stones under radiological control is described and its use in 16 patients reported. The ease of the method, the minimal associated morbidity and the inexpensiveness of the equipment suggest that this should be the primary method of removal of retained stones when a T tube has been placed into the common bile duct.
