Abstract
The entire endocrine system including the hypothalamus, pituitary gland, thyroid, adrenal cortex, and gonads, has been examined for the cause of obesity. This article discusses the relationship between obesity and the endocrine glandular system. Guidelines for treating obesity caused by specific endocrine dysfunction are presented in detail.
