Abstract
The effect of twenty-one days dexamethasone treatment was investigated on the Ca2+ uptake of sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) of slow-twitch (soleus) and fast-twitch (semi-membranosus) muscles. The SR Ca2+ uptake decreased in fast-twitch muscle significantly, while in slow-twitch muscle there was no detectable change.
