Abstract

Adequacy of dialysis, both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, has been the subject of a number of meetings and papers in the past. Nevertheless, it still remains defined only in general terms. Calculations of clearance of patients on intermittent peritoneal dialysis have shown the importance of residual renal function in patients with peritoneal dialysis.
